This blog post is sponsored by Del Monte Fresh Produce but all opinions are my own.
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and while most people are going to stick to the basics of chocolates and flowers, I’ve found one of the most unique gifts yet! Del Monte Fresh Produce sent me their Pinkglow™ pineapple package curated specifically for Valentine’s Day and I was blown away.
Del Monte® Pinkglow™ Pineapple
If you haven’t heard of this new pink pineapple yet, just take a look at the pictures! This pineapple gets its color from lycopene, a natural pigment
that gives some produce like tomatoes and watermelon its red color and makes this product pink! A fun fact about this pink pineapple is that it will be delivered to you without the crown. Del Monte Fresh Produce is currently planting the crowns in an effort to increase the volume of the crop and reduce waste.
The package came with a cute Valentine’s Day card and of course the famous Pinkglow™ pineapple. This year, not everyone can get out to celebrate properly with their loved ones so gifts will be more important than ever before. When you’re choosing what to get your loved one, choose with care, emotion and maybe glow them away…
In my opinion, flowers and chocolates are tired and overdone gifts. Flowers eventually die and to be quite honest, I eat chocolate on a daily basis so I don’t find it super “special” anymore if that makes sense. If there is one thing I do love and appreciate, it’s getting a gift that I can eat. I’m very anti clutter, knickknacks and any other cutesy gifts that will sit and collect dust. If I receive a gift that won’t take up room in my house AND I can eat… well you’ve won my heart.
The Pinkglow™ pineapple is sold exclusively at pinkglowpineapple.com.
When I received my Pinkglow™ pineapple in the mail, husband and I decided to make a super easy but delicious dessert… Easy Grilled Pinkglow™ Pineapple with Vanilla Ice Cream! This recipe would also be perfect for a Valentine’s Day date night in.

How to grill your pineapple
Don’t worry, you don’t actually have to turn on your BBQ grill in order to grill your pineapple. If you have a grill pan or a compact countertop grill, those will work just fine! You’ll want to grill each side for about 2-3 minutes or until you achieve some nice grill marks.
