These Easy Italian Turkey Meatballs are flavorful, moist and go perfect with Mamma’s sauce and pasta on a Sunday! Traditionally, meatballs at home would be made with ground beef or a combination of ground meats like beef, pork or lamb. A few years back, my mom started making her meatballs with ground turkey and let me tell you … my dad was NOT happy about it. However, my mom was trying to make some healthier choices and eventually he got used to it. Now I prefer my meatballs to be made with turkey over ground beef.
When people imagine meatballs, I assume that they also imagine pasta. But you do not NEED to pair your meatballs with pasta! There are so many other ways to eat meatballs, read on for a list of ideas…
What you will need for your Easy Italian Turkey Meatballs:
Ground Turkey
Garlic Powder
Onion
Salt & Pepper
Fresh or Dried Parsley
Fresh or Dried oregano
Egg
Bread Crumbs
Parmesan
Ways to eat your meatballs:
I love to eat meatballs with my mom’s tomato sauce and spaghetti. However, sometimes I’m just not trying to eat pasta! The great thing about these meatballs is you can make a lot at once and use them for lunches or dinner throughout the week. If you’re like me and aren’t in the mood for a large bowl of pasta, here are some other ideas for how you can eat these meatballs:
Over pasta + tomato sauce
Over pasta + pesto
Paired with rice + vegetables
Meatball sandwich or sliders – stuff a loaf of bread or hamburger bun with meatballs and top with sauce and mozzarella cheese
Meatball pizza – chop up your meatballs and top a homemade or frozen cheese pizza

- Total Time: 30-35 Minutes
- Yield: 12 Meatballs 1x
Ingredients
1 package of Ground Turkey (I use 98% Fat Free but you can use whatever you like or find at the store)
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 onion, diced finely
1 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp fresh or dried Parsley
1 Tbsp fresh or dried Oregano
1 Egg
1/2C plain Bread crumbs
1/4C grated Parmesan
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 350
- Combine your ingredients
- Form your meatballs ( I was able to make 12 from these ingredients. If you make your meatballs bigger or smaller, adjust your cooking time accordingly.)
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reached 165 degrees
- Remove from the oven and serve over pasta with red sauce or pesto!
- Prep Time: 10 Minutes
- Cook Time: 20-25 Minutes
