This blog post was originally posted in 2014 when I first started this website. Originally, I started this for a class as it was mandatory. When the class was done I decided to keep going with it and turn it in to a blog for myself. I would publish posts and share to Facebook for my friends and family to read but that was really it. Here I am in 2019 and I’m still posting but the theme has changed a little.
I began Macaroniebites in 2017. I had been thinking about starting a food Instagram for a while and one day I just decided to take the plunge. After realizing that I could connect my blog and my Instagram, I decided to re-brand my website but I never really addressed it.
So… this is me, addressing it… a few years later 🙂
This blog used to be a sort of diary. I told myself I was going to focus my writing on “clean eating” as apparently in 2014 it was some sort of “fad”. That was around the time that I had drastically changed my eating habits and lifestyle but little did I know it would last this long. I don’t consider the way I eat “clean” anymore as not everything I eat is completely clean. Sometimes that’s just not sustainable. However I do work to consume whole foods and focus on eating a good mix of protein, carbs and healthy fats. It’s interesting how your lifestyle changes throughout the years and back then, I was searching for my “theme”.
I think I finally found it: I inspire the real life, busy bees to eat, feel and BE healthy. I’m a full time working gal. I know how busy life gets. I know eating well can sometimes be intimidating and overwhelming. So I’m here to offer tips, recipes and examples on how you can fit eating healthy into your busy life.
Let’s get through this journey called life together, shall we?
