If there was one flavor I could choose to represent Fall, it would be Maple. This Maple Pecan Pie Baked Oats recipe is the perfect breakfast to get your taste-buds ready for all the Fall flavors that come with a Thanksgiving Dinner. When I think of Fall I think of apple picking, pumpkin picking and pie. I’m not sure why I think of pie but that’s what comes to mind. Pecan Pie is a favorite of mine and these oats really encompass those same flavors.
There are a few different ways you can make oats but I love baked oats because you can eat them as soon as they come out of the oven or you can save them for throughout the week. Besides baking your oats you can also make them as overnight oats or stove-top oats. I love all three equally but if I’m trying to make oats for right now, overnight oats aren’t the best option. If I don’t feel like standing in front of a stove continually mixing, stove-top oats are probably not the best option either.
With baked oats all you need to do is prepare your mixture, pop it in the oven and while they’re baking you can do whatever else you need to do. PLUS there is nothing better than a meal prepped breakfast! Another option is making the mixture the night before, pouring it in your oven-safe dish and popping it into the oven first thing in the morning. That way you save some time and have your breakfast that much quicker!
