This Orange Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is super refreshing and perfect for the Summer! Honestly, my favorite part about this loaf is that it doesn’t taste like banana bread at all. The orange flavor comes out so well and that mixed with the chocolate chips is such a fun flavor combination! It’s a nice change from your typical banana bread.
Oranges remind me of soccer games when I was a kid. WEIRD, I know. I don’t know about other kid soccer games but at mine, each parent took turns bringing snacks to the games for half time. An extremely common snack choice was sliced up oranges! When I was younger, I hated oranges; so when that was the snack of choice, I was not a happy camper.
These days I don’t mind oranges at all. I especially enjoy orange juice and there is about 3/4C of freshly squeezed orange juice in this loaf! Plus the zest of 2 oranges. My favorite part about photographing this bread was the fact that you could see the orange zest POP in the photos!
