If you’re a granola lover, you are going to swoon over this Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Granola recipe!
I love granola and I’m currently obsessed with this Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Granola. Original, nut filled, super chocolatey… you name it and I will eat it. But have you ever noticed how much sugar granola contains??? I’m that girl in the store looking at the nutrition facts of every brand trying to find ONE that I will feel good about eating. Sorry not sorry. If I wanted to eat a cookie, I’d grab a cookie. Therefore I do not need my granola to have the same sugar content as a cookie.
That is what sparked me to try making my own. I see recipes on Instagram and Pinterest all the time and the one thing every food blogger says is that it’s easy. So I tested it for myself and can now confirm that it is indeed very easy! I mixed all my ingredients up into one bowl and poured the mixture onto a parchment paper covered pan so cleanup was a breeze!
To make this Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Granola you only need 9 ingredients (and you probably already have all of them in our pantry!):
Rolled Oats
Peanut Butter
Coconut Oil
Honey
Cinamon
Vanilla
Chocolate Chips
Sea salt
Collagen
Why Collagen?
I figured if I’m making my own granola and can control the ingredients that go into it, why not add some extra protein?! I added 4 scoops of Ancient Nutrition’s Vanilla Collagen to the whole recipe. You can also omit this ingredient if you’d like! It won’t change anything about the recipe except the nutrition facts.
