This thick and creamy Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate is bursting with flavor and plot twist… it’s healthy!
I don’t know if everyone is a hot chocolate person or if there is some other winter drink I don’t know about. You know how some people are coffee people and others are tea people? Or the coffee vs. matcha teams? I feel like everyone should be a hot chocolate person because honestly what’s better than a mug full of literal melted chocolate?
When I was in college I got really into making homemade hot chocolate. I’m not sure how it began, but I would make my Pumpkin Hot Chocolate all Fall long and then once winter hit I switched to regular. What I don’t understand is why I never made this recipe before?!
If you’re a peanut butter lover… you’re going to die over this easy Hot Chocolate Recipe. It’s made with just a few simple ingredients and can be whipped up in just about 5 minutes.
Ingredients for Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate:
Almond Milk (or whatever kind of milk you like to use!)
Chocolate Chips – adding some chocolate chips really thickens this hot chocolate up and kicks the chocolate flavor up a notch
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Maple Syrup – I don’t think adding sweetener is 100% necessary especially because we’re adding chocolate chips, but I really enjoyed the extra sweetness
Peanut Butter – I used salted and creamy. I wouldn’t suggest using crunchy here and if you use no salt peanut butter, add a dash of salt to really bring out all the flavors

Delicious!! Combining my two favorite things, peanut butter and chocolate! I can’t wait to make this more when it gets colder.
