This Pumpkin Spice French Toast makes for the most amazing Fall breakfast! Perfectly sweet and spiced using thick slices of bread from Trader Joe’s that are indulgent enough to taste like dessert.
I went through a phase when I ate French toast almost every single day for breakfast for MONTHS. When people think of French Toast most think fancy and hard to make. However, French Toast can actually be whipped up in a pinch and the ingredients can be kept quite healthy!
During the Fall, almost anything can be made Pumpkin Spice. Pancakes, lattes, banana breads, muffins, cookies, the list goes on and on! Pumpkin Spice French Toast can even win over the most skeptical of Pumpkin Spice. My husband, for example, is not a pumpkin fan at all. However, we recently visited a B&B where we had stuffed pumpkin French toast and he actually really enjoyed it!
I love using really thick slices of bread for this recipe because it allows for the French toast to really soak up all of the flavor! You can use brioche, challah or even sourdough. Honestly you can really use any kind of bread but those are definitely my favorite.
Ingredients you’ll need for Pumpkin Spice French Toast:
Bread of your choice
Kefir (I use Lifeway Kefir)
Pumpkin Pie Spice
This Pumpkin Spice French Toast is the most amazing Fall breakfast and incredibly easy to make!
Bread of your choice (I used 4 thick sliced with this batter)
1/4C Pumpkin Spice Kefir (I used Lifeway)
1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
- Heat a greased pan on a low to medium flame
- Whisk up your batter
- Dip your bread on each side and place in your pan
- Cook each side until golden brown
- Remove from the pan and top with Greek yogurt or maple syrup
- Prep Time: 5 Minutes
- Cook Time: 5 Minutes
