These Raspberry Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins are fluffy, flavorful and the perfect mid-day snack! They’re easy to make, sweet from the maple syrup and tart from the raspberries.
Muffins are my new favorite snack. I don’t know when I get so into muffins but it happened and I’m not mad about it! I don’t think husband is mad about it either. These Raspberry Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins are 134 calories per muffin and incredibly satisfying. Sometimes with sweets, once I eat one, I crave more. These muffins are the perfect size and the perfect amount of sweetness. There are only 3 tablespoons of maple syrup in the entire recipe! Between the sweetness from the ripe bananas, the maple syrup, the fresh and tart raspberries and the 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, these muffins taste just like dessert!
If you used to frequent Dunkin Donuts just to get their chocolate chip muffins, you know the struggle of believing muffins should taste like cupcakes… I grew up eating those muffins for breakfast or whenever my mom would stop there for coffee and they are ADDICTING! Am I right? They are so large, have so many chocolate chips and even have a layer of sugar on top! So healthy… as I grew up and realized how much sugar and how many calories those muffins contained, I was pretty horrified. Maybe that’s why I’m so obsessed with making muffins, I’m just trying to make a healthy muffin that is JUST as good as that Dunkin Donuts Chocolate Chip Muffins… I haven’t figured it out yet but one day I will!
In the meantime… these muffins are really good as well!
