Does anyone else change their eating habits based on the season? In the Spring and Summer my smoothies are light, refreshing and filled with berries. In the Fall and Winter they’re filled with bananas, nut butters and in this Salted Caramel Pumpkin Smoothie recipe… pumpkin! Yes you hear me right… Pumpkin. Everyone is baking with pumpkin, cooking savory meal with pumpkin so why not just toss some in your smoothies for the extra nutrients?
This Salted Caramel Pumpkin Smoothie is the perfect breakfast to start your day. It would also be a lovely mid-day snack or even a dessert! Seriously, that is is how good this tastes. Add some extra ice to this recipe and you’ll get a sort of ice-cream consistency making… I could have this for dessert every single night!
In order to get that rich salted caramel flavor I used Quest Nutrition salted caramel protein powder. That paired with the pumpkin flavors made for a smoothie that brings you all the Fall feels. I’d compare these flavors to a healthier pie. Come on, tell me you wouldn’t want that for breakfast every morning?
