Personally, I’m not usually a salad person. However, as soon as the weather begins to get warmer, I start CRAVING salads. Probably because a good salad is super fresh, crisp and pretty delicious! The great thing about a good salad is you can use it as a side dish, your vegetable in a meal, or you can add protein and make it the main dish! This Strawberry Summer Salad would go wonderfully with grilled chicken or steak.
What you will need for this Strawberry Summer Salad:
Lettuce of your choice – I like Romaine
Cucumbers
Red Onion
Strawberries
Almond Slivers
Goat Cheese
Dressing of your choice – I made a Honey Balsamic Dressing. You can find the recipe below!
Another great thing about salads are the fact that they’re completely customizable. Don’t like cucumbers? Don’t add them! If you rather add celery, tomatoes or a different kind of nut… that’s okay! The above ingredients are my personal favorites and I think when these flavors come together they make a great combination that is perfect for the summer. Don’t be afraid to get creative and swap in your favorite ingredients.
